shipibo1aCSEE annually brings Shipibo shamans and healers to New Mexico and other locations in the United States to share their knowledge through lecture and demonstrations together with selected showings of educational media about their song tradition, healing practices and woven textiles. During the most recent visit to Santa Fe CSEE sponsored a cultural exchange between the Shipibo and the Huicholes from Mexico, an indigenous tribe with strong shamanic practices, for the purpose of exchanging experiences and ideas.

Summer wilderness youth program for educating youth in the basics of shamanic practices and indigenous wisdom. Pilot program to run August 15-19, 2009.

youth program

eagle bear3The mission of the CSEE Youth Program  is to create an education, exchange and service program for youth 18 – 26 years old, shamanic training, and direct experiential education.  The Power Path School of Shamanism donates land facilities, administration and staff to run a summer youth program training at Eagle Bear Ranch in Northern New Mexico.

CSEE is seeking funding to bring shamanic teachers to come to New Mexico to participate in teaching and exchange in the summer training. CSEE will provide some financial support for qualified candidates to send them to the indigenous communities we’re working with as project managers for projects like building composting toilets, reforestation, botanical projects, permaculture, etc.

The Youth Program has  created a formal structure for young people to exchange service for direct shamanic education and experiences.
